Psychology & Behaviour Support

At Acorn, our Psychology and Behaviour Support service is centred around your child and your family. Our dedicated psychologists work alongside your child, whether it's in the comfort of your home, at school, kindergarten, or one of our centres. We focus on enhancing your child's independence, nurturing their unique strengths, and providing tailored support to help them overcome any behavioural or emotional challenges they may be facing.

Our Psychologists can support you with:

    • Functional communication.

    • AAC (e.g., PECS, speech-generating devices).

    • Meltdowns.

    • Self-injury.

    • Safety concerns.

    • Fear/avoidance of important procedures (e.g., needles, nail clippers, haircuts, taking medication).

    • Aggressive behaviours.

    • Property damage.

  • Reading, writing, maths.

    • Self-management.
